Mechanical disruption of Arthrobacter sp. DSM 3747 in stirred ball
The direct comparison of cell disintegration in stirred ball mills to the fine grinding in inorganic matter allows the transfer of scale-up methods (Weit and Schwedes, 1987) and the methods for the prediction of continuous comminution results (Stehr, 1982) to the application of stirred ball mills for the disintegration of microorganisms.
